如果說成 "an entrance which cut directly into one wall"，整句變成“入口切入到牆裡”，但入口本身不會做動作，所以"cut"應該是被動式 "be cut"。

an entrance (which was) cut directly into one wall. （入口"被"切入到牆裡）

原句中的 "cut" 是 "which was cut" 的縮寫，所以用 "which cut" 是不正確的。

It depends upon how you try to describe the situation. Your way is logically correct, because entrance cannot cut. My saying is to humanize the entrance.
