Hi I'm 21 and I want to get a career in accounting. I'm confused about whether I should just do an aat or go to university and get a degree? I don't really want to go university because I just don't feel like it's for me. But is it the best choice and a nessecity for an accounting career? ( I want to do an acca but for it I need a degree or I need to do an aat first ) thank you in advance

A training position with an accountancy firm might be what you are looking for. That way, they pay you while you are training and are very likely to offer funding for formal accountancy exams. AAT is good and gives exemption from parts of the professional accountancy courses. I don't think university is the best place to study accountancy. You will still enter a firm as a trainee but you'd be three years behind someone who trained on the job .... and you'd be in debt.

you will ought to bypass the CPA attempt. To qualify to take it you would be a school graduate to take the attempt indoors the state of California. i do now no longer understand if an ACCA qualification is the comparable as a BA. in spite of if it extremely is you're able to take the attempt, if now no longer you will ought to get a BA first.
