Fujifilm instant camera or Polaroid instant camera?

FujiFilm instax is much easier to get than Polaroid since it has been discontinued and it's quite hard to find Polaroid films. I think Fujifilm instax is better for taking pictures of people especially mini ones which looks cleaner and prettier. Pictures from Polaroid are more vintage feel.

A little extra information, Polaroid 300 is exactly same thing as Fujifilm Instax 7s, not really sure about the films but the specs are exactly the same.

Well, things are only "better" than something else given particular desired results.

If you think it's better to have cheaper, easier to find film that is always available and normal colours on clean, flawless instant prints, then Fuji Instax is the way to go.

If you think it's better to have more unique looking colours and artsy imperfections in the prints as well as shooting on a vintage camera but don't mind spending the extra money and time reading and researching how to get a working camera and how to best use the film, then an old Polaroid with Impossible Project film is the way to go. There are also some older Polaroids that take peel-apart film that you can get from Fuji that is cheaper and cleaner/more "normal" looking photos.

It is going to be more difficult for you to ask for Poloarid and Impossible film for Christmas because your parents or whoever are going to be confronted with myriad choices of what to buy and where to buy it from that really, only you can answer. With Fuji Instax, buying the camera and film is more turn-key. I recommend purchasing from Adorama.com.

So you will have to decide what is "better" for you, for now. My girlfriend and I use Fuji Instax but I see some great work coming from the Impossible crowd too.
