強調句(分裂句)強調複數時候該怎寫

這題目真的很怪
強調句型不是IT IS....THAT(WHO)
當強調的東西是複數例如
It was the rules that I made.
可是有人給我改說要這樣才對
They were the rules that I made.

然後我看這個網頁http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/1234567890abcdef-mysonisrhodesonc/article?mid=1645&prev=1646&l=f&fid=36
其中的一句It is the men that / who work hardest, not the women
那這句他也沒更改為複數呢...

所以請問會的老師究竟哪種才對阿...???(還是兩種都可以可能嗎??)

因為兩句中的 "it" 所代表的是不同的東西。


It is the men that work hardest, not the women.

在此句中,"it"所代表的是一個"fact/statement/thing"。
如果這句改用 "they",代表的則是“男人”。


1. It was the rules that I made.
2. They were the rules that I made.

兩句文法都是正確,但表達的意思不同。

1. "it" 代表的是一件東西,或一件事情。
- the thing that I made was the/these rules.
- it was the/these rules that I made.
- 我做的事是創造這些條文。( it = 事 )

2. "they" 代表的是"rules"本身。
- I made these rules.
- they were the rules I made.
- 我創作了這些條文。( they = 條文 )

It's the men that work the hardest (not the women).
(事實是)男人才是最努力工作的(不是女人)。

They are the men that work the hardest (not any other men).
他們才是最努力工作的男人(其他男人都沒有他們努力)。
