Do Ps2 games work on the slim ps3?

The newer slim versions are not backwards compatible. I have a bunch of ps2 games that are now useless to me :(

properly, in straightforward terms PS3's that made in 2006 can play PS2 video games. it is 20gb PS3. *constrained version*. narrow can no longer play PS2 video games for specific. PS3 have backwards compatibility can play PS2 video games. Sorry narrow can no longer play PS2 video games. King Fez 2011/8/4

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Is Awesome.The Way you are able to play is absolutely incredible..I played this game over and over and over again...The interactivity and player interaction with the game is incredible.

No, only PlayStation and PlayStation 3 games are compatible.

No. Only the fat Ps3 models from 2006-2007 could play Ps2 games. The 2008 models to the models we got now do not support Ps2 backward compatibility.

You need one of the FIST GEN fat PS3's. Only the first gen ones are backwards compatible. The ones that came out before Sony decided to rip us off by re-sellilng us our old PS2 games.

You need a Fat PS3. The slims did away with backwards compatibility.

Yeah it should work. Most PS3's are backwards compatible.
