英文生字問題(15點)

點解你會覺得We hired a driver to take us on a tour of the city.不是過去呢？
當講/寫這句時我想我們已經是tour(遊覽)完才記述這事件。所以講的人當然不是活在過去，但講的那件事是在過去發生了的便用過去式來設定動詞。
we hire是主動句式。所以hired是simple past tense.

另一邊的fire，很多時是以被動形式出現的。因為正如個字意思是被開除或被解雇。
所以you"re fired.雖然是老闆跟下屬抄他，但句式上仍是以被動式的語法習慣來組成的。fired是past participle。老闆不會說i fire you.的
反而今天可能由員工反過來跟老說i fire you.辭職便不是被動句式。不過這是中文(chinglish)，正式的抄老闆魷魚的英文是I quit.我走人。

所以同樣見到-ed/d並不是同一種詞性的句子。多留心主角跟事件時間和處境的關係多看書認知寫法上的習慣，會比硬記公式化的文法結構有用。

係hire/fire後加d因為passive voice 既問題(is/am/are/was/were/have been/has been etc.+p.p.)e.g. The cake was eaten by Sam.
