"model" is often used in Georgia as well.

We hear "What model is your car?" a lot also. Or even "What make and model is your car" is a common expression as well.

Hmm, I do agree that "what make and year is your car" is commonly used but "what brand is your car" is not that unusual.

make = A specific line of manufactured goods, identified by the manufacturer's name or the registered trademark: a famous make of shirt.

your car =/= a brand
your car = a make

In US, car manufacture is called "car maker", so they are customary to say "what make is your car?" "What brand is your car?" can be understood, but it is not used by American, maybe by Chinese :-) ...
