so theirs this guy he saves me a seat up the back of the bus every morning, hes always really sweet, he tells me I'm gorgeous, he's nice to me in front of his friends, he always stands up for me and comforts me when I'm upset. do you think he likes me or he wants to be friends with me?

its more than just liking you....sound like he adores you....a lot, if I might add....Make friend with him and see how it goes.....you'll never know....
