Can the word "was" be abbreviated as " 's " at any time?

For example, "He's going to the party." "Is" is abbreviated as " 's" in this case.

"I thought he's coming tonight." Is " 's " "is" or "was" in this case? thanks.

Not that I know of. I think "was" is past tense, "is" is present, so you can say I thought he was coming tonight, as in he didn't come yet, or I think he is coming tonight, as in he may be on his way.

Im far from english, but i'm sure it is impossible :)
It would be an ambiguity, then it is not necessary, so u are no right after all.. even if you were just asking. ;) i am italian, do you?

I highly doubt it.

Nope.
You can abbreviate "would" with 'd or "will" (will not= won't), or "does" (does not= don't), but not "was".

The word "was" is never abbreviated.

In your second sentence, it says "I thought he is coming tonight." This sentence is incorrect.
