What's wrong with dating a fob?

I just fall in love with a FOB. We're both graduate students, and she is from another country. She speaks good English, and I also speak her native language but not as good as her. Is there a problem dating a fob? Why do people laugh at someone when he/she is dating a fob?

People are just racist and ignorant, ignore them, if she makes you happy isn't that all that matters? :)
