Please check my grammar ~

I got up late today. I brushed my teeth and put on the clothes quickly before I rushed to go out. At the tram station, I waited for the tram for a long time. So I changed (from waiting for the tram) to taking the bus and then transferring to MTR at Central. After half an hour, I finally arrived at school on time. I thought that I was so lucky for being on time (or) else I would get some penalty. After school, I went to a barbershop to have/get a (new) haircut. I told the barber to make my hair shorter. I liked my new haircut so much. Then I went back home and finished my homework before I went to sleep.
