is it ok to wear a urinary catheter when having a bladder infection?

NO ONE "wears" a urinary catheter. These are placed for strictures and other voiding difficulties. A bladder infection is just that - an infection which is treated with oral antibiotics, nothing else. The insertion of any urinary catheter predisposes a person to a higher risk of getting a urinary tract infection because of it being placed and should be avoided.
