about your own translation:

if you want to use "thanks", you shall use it as follows:

Thanks a lot for your introducing (or introduction),

or you can say:

I thank you (very much) for your introducing.

Your using "appreciate" is correct.

However, like you said, it doesn't emphasize action: "illustrating" or "introducing"

我自己擬的:
1. Thanks for your introducing...............introduction
2. Thanks for your explanation..............OK
3. I appreciate your illustration..............OK.

How about "thanks for your briefing"? :D

Use "demonstration" only when he demonstrated how to use a product.
