what is the correct interpretation of the bible, before you answer, consider this. since its first edition, it had lost its size by about 80%. im talking thickness as well as height and depth. plus only the church was allowed to read it in the early days. plus it was translated from latin, again by king james, then king james' was re-interpretted into the NKJ. with all these translations, info could have been lost, or "misinterpretted" in translation.
the reason anybody misinterpites the bible is: they are not being led by the holy spirit. they are listening to what someone else says thats what such&such scripture means. thats why the bible says:study the scriptures so you will not br a workman that is ashamed.
Catholics seem to be conditioned to believe whatever their priest tells them. They traditionally taught their congregations that they shouldn't try and read the Scriptures and understand them for themselves. These days their teaching is probably more subtle.
When faithful, God fearing men tried to translate the Bible from Latin, which most ordinary people didn't understand, into English they, like Tyndale, were killed and burnt at the stake. If anyone prevents others from understanding the Scriptures in their own language maybe they have a lot to hide.
Not so long ago the Catholic Church started bringing the Latin Mass back. Why? Didn't the Scriptures in English conform with their doctrines?
Actually, it's the protestants who interpret it correctly. THATS WHY THERE SO FREAKING CRAZY! The "enlightened" christian's (or Obama Baptists) make stuff up as they go so that they can be both sane, humane, AND believe in Jesus.
