Assume an ideal transformer, when the secondary coil is in open circuit, there is no current in the primary coil. Tis follows from the Law of Conservation of Energy.

However, voltages exist across the primary and secondary coils.

When the secondary coil is connected to a load, currents flow through the primry and secondary coils. The larger the secondary current, the larger is the primary current.

the ratio of turns of coil in prim. = around 2 times in sec,

so voltage is halfed in sec. compared with prim.

hope it's correct
