Three questions about Negima?!?

there are two versions of Negima: one is Negima?! and the remake of it is Mahou Sensei Negima
i suggest you watch the latter: story is pretty much the same but better art

Negi's dad's whereabouts still remains a mystery. And no i dont think he is dead. His teammates are still alive so he cannot be dead imo. Besides, the central plot is Negi's search for his father so the anime would really lack substance if his father was actually dead.

Anyway, the anime is basically about 10 year old mage Negi Springfield becoming a teacher at a girl's school to complete his training as a magister mage. His reason for becoming a mage is obviously to find his father who had saved the village years ago and who mysteriously disappeared soon after leaving behind a staff that Negi still carries today. Negi is meant to keep his identity as a mage a secret but slowly the girls in his class find out and form a contract with him ....Pactio!! lol
The more intense story begins when Negi goes to the magical world!

i dont watch the anime but the manga is really good ^_^ (ongoing)
