✔ 最佳答案
1(a)the quadratic equation has two equal real roots
delta=0
(-2(2k+1))^2-4(4)(9)=0
4(2k+1)^2-144=0
(2k+1)^2=36
2k+1=+/-6
k=5/2 or -7/2
(b)4x^2-2(2(-7/2)+1)x+9=0
4x^2+12x+9=0
(2x+3)^2=0
x=-3/2
2(a)no.
sub m=2
y=(2-2)x^2+(2*2+5)x+(2+1)
y=9x+3
it is not a quadratic equation.
(b)the graph cuts the x-axis at two points
delta>0
(2m+5)^2-4(m-2)(m+1)>0
4m^2+20m+25-4(m^2-m-2)>0
4m^2+20m+25-4m^2+4m+8>0
24m+33>0
m>-11/8 and m=/=2
