A poll: Why do people struggle with logs?

Seriously, I don't understand what the issue is. I can understand them not being easy to compute for most numbers, but manipulating expressions with them and applying the rules of logarithms really doesn't seem that mind blowing.
更新1:

I only ask because most people I've ever met seem treat them like no one in the universe could possibly understand them

Something that you struggle with maybe easy for someone else. Everyone has different level of understanding to every method and concept.

This is similar to ask why to learn polar system is important? In what areas/occasions do people use them? I have graduated from graduate school for 20 years and never used it in my work ever.

But this doesn't mean it is less important than others. It is I who am not in the field don't have a chance so far.

All these courses we learn in school are the foundation to future work/life. You may not never need them at all, but when you do, never let you feel sorry that you did not learn it well back then.

I bet they don't struggle with logs. They struggle with memorising laws of log. But why log then?
Its true for any topic. Just now I answered a question where the asker wanted steps to find sq rt of (x^2)/(y^2)

multiplication is a special form of addition

power notation is a special form of multiplication

logs are a transfer function for exponents and roots

it is a very high level of math abstraction. you are lucky to find it easy

I have a BS in physics and have forgotten most of the rules.

it was a great advance in practical calculation before the invention of the digital calculator

EASY OR OBVIOUS IT IS NOT
