Differentiation of x^f(t)

2011-10-08 7:05 am
可否詳細解釋一下爲何 x^f(t) 的differentiation是 ln(x)x^f(t) f '(t)?

例如 f(x,y,z)=x^(y^z)

df/dy=ln(x) x^(y^z) zy^(z-1)

Thank you!

Since d(a^x)/dx is a^x lna.

Then using chain rule and view x as the function of t

d(x^f(t))/dt

= d(x^f(t))/d(f(t)) * d(f(t))/dt

= lnx x^f(t) f'(t)
