three measurements are correct to the nearest cm , find the percentage error in calculating the perimeter of
the triangle correct to the nearest 0.1% .

Question 1
The maximum error in calculating the perimeter
= 0.5 cm x 3 = 1.5 cm
The maximum percentage error
= 1.5 / (15+24+25)
= 1.5 /64
= 2.34%

Question 2
P (1+6%/12)^12 +P(1+6%/12)^11 + .... P(1+6%/12)^2+ P(1+6%/12) = 10000
P(1.005)^12 + P(1.005)^11 +.... P(1.005) =10000
P(1.005) (1-1.005^12)/(1-1.005) = 10000
P = 10000 * (-0.005) /[1.005 * (1-1.005^12)]
=806.63
