Find the value of k if the followingexpressions is a perfect square:(i) x^2－4x+3k
Sol
D=(－4)^2－4*1*(3k)=0
16－12k=0
k=16/12=4/3
(ii) kx^2－x/2+12
Sol
D=(－1/2)^2－4*k*(1/2)=0
1/4－2k=0
k=1/8
