Manual car gear stick stuck?
When I pressed down on the clutch and tried to set it to 1st gear,
the gear stick seems to be stuck & won't go in. I've tried it with all the other gears, and it won't budge.
What especially happen is with the Revese gear, it makes a loud noise when I try to get it to go in but it's still stuck.
With the engine off, I'm able to get all the gears in, it's just with the engine on and clutch down that I can't,
please help?? What's wrong with my car?
Thankss so much!

Sounds like your clutch is not disengaging when you press the pedal. My guess is that you have a cable actuated clutch and the cable is broken. Replace the cable and all should be well.
sounds like your clutch, if its hydrolic check the fluid, if there's fluid it may need bleeding, if its a cable clutch look under the car and get someone to press pedal to the floor a couple of times and see if the fork arm at the side of the gear box "bell housing" is moving if not your cable is disconnected or broken
Clutch is faulty. Check clutch system (fluid, cylinders, etc).
I'm guessing it's either clutch adjustment or needs a new clutch or even your gear selector. (This probably makes no sense to you) lol but unfortunately I new clutch isn't the cheapest but if you're lucky it could need adjusting. I suggest taking it to a garage and ask them for some help. They wont charge you for looking at it. Hope this helps
agree with Steve - the clutch is not disengaging...........might be in the linkage (hydraulic or manual) ..... or the clutch itself or "throwout bearing" worn to the extent that they need replacement. That could be normal wear after many miles, or result of "riding" the clutch pedal. Prepare to spend a few hundred bucks.
