you can't control whether someone hits a homer, that depends on the batter. I bet you're an angry Red Sox fan.

No team loses on purpose.

True
Anything to keep the redsux out of the playoffs. That was even more wonderful how Baltimore came back to win tonight.

False, it's beyond stupid for a team to lose on purpose.

Wouldn't surprise me, but considering they are hated rivals, I would lose it on purpose too

Red Sox lost that 91/2 game lead on purpose TRUE or FALSE?

ITS 100% TRUE THE SOX LOST A DOUBLE DIGIT LEAD TO THE RAYS AND, WHETHER IT WAS ON PURPOSE OR NOT, HAD A HISTORIC COLLAPSE.

BLAME THAT ON THE YANKEES.

False! They weren't going to risk an injury in a meaningless game, get over it. Besides, I'd rather face the Sox who would have limped into the playoffs and are running on empty than the Rays who have good pitching (pitching wins championships) and momentum on their side.

To be honest, it did seem like they lost on purpose... And I knew this was going to happen, because if you think of it, why win a game so that your most hated rival can benefit from it... I would have done the same, and also, it is not only this game, but the entire series. The move that gave it up was in the bottom of the 9th inning, why not bring in the best closer in the history of MLB to close it out???

False.
