Fellow Atheists, do you feel pity for creationists, or do you laugh?

Neither. I feel deep disgust for them and their backwards effect on society.

The adults scare me. The home schooled children make me sad.

They were offered an education and chose to ignore it. How could you not laugh at them?

I have to admit to laughing when I heard some of their claims and that anyone would actually 'believe' that stuff..

I pity atheists, as they believe that we're only animals, that life has no meaning or purpose, that love is just hormones and chemicals.

God created everything, and that just makes more sense than anything else people have come up with. God made space and time and life. So much logic in that and evidence, people just want to find their own ways to dispute it. I do not laugh at that. I take pity on them. They can say all they want. What matters is if in the end, they go into Heaven because at some point of their life, even at the very end of it, they understood God, were afraid of eternal death, and asked Jesus into their heart. Think of Saul who persecuted Christians. Tortured, murdered them. His life took a turn when he learned the truth and was afraid of what his life was like, and turned from his sins to do God's work after seeing Jesus come to him.

Creation = God's Word. Simple, logically, and God does not need defending about how He made things. Those in Heaven get to see the full, unedited history lesson. I am waiting for my seat there.

I'm Catholic but I believe in evolution. Do you still laugh at me? I don't laugh at creationists but I think they're a bit...naive. I think a God but some very, VERY simple life form down here, with the potential to evolve into a certain "high point", which I believe is the **** sapiens race. And then I believe in Jesus and all that but that's beside the point.

Well i have found that they laugh at us. I have tried to have many rational, intelligent conversations with creationists about evolution, the big bang, etc. and all of them sort of smirk and giggle as i am talking because they dont know how to react when I am actually correct. I dont pity them, i just hope that they dont let religion completely dictate their life. Because if they do, honestly, they dont deserve pity. Its just pure stupidity and ignorance

Whenever I read something or hear something that's profoundly creationist, I lose a little bit of hope in our species.

Most of them I pity. The leaders I'm contemptuous of as frauds and shills.

i just dont even care anymore. I listen to their argument, refute it, move on.
