Butan-1-ol and methylpropan-2-ol have the same molecular formula.Expalin Why Butan-1-ol has a higher density than methylpropan-2-ol.

They are both C4H10O, alcohol, but they different structures.
Butanol:
CH3CH3CH3CH3OH
methylpropan-2-ol:
/OH
CH3CCH3
\_CH3
So, one methylpropan-2-ol take more spaces.
The density is then lower

You miss out something. You should state that the methylpropan-2-ol has a branched-chain while butan-1-ol has a straight chain first. The former one thus has a rod shape and the latter one has a sphere shape. More spaces are occupied between methylpropan-2-ol rather than probutan-1-ol.
