The process of radioactive decay is spontaneous and random in nature. We cannot predict when it will decay and how many radioactive nuclei in a sample will decay in a particular time. We can predict, however, a rough number of radioactive nuclei in a sample will decay in a particular time based on its probability nature. Why is it random? Why doesn't it obey the causality? I think if the process of radioactive decay does not affected by the physical condition or chemical outside the nucleus, there must be an internal mechanism, which obeys the cause and effect, to cause the decay.
