Square tiles are used to cover a wall of length 180cm and width 126cm as
shown in diagram.What is the greatest possible length of a side of the tile?

Albert,Billy and Charile can finish walking a closed track once in 6 minutes,8 minutes and 12 minutes respectively. They start at the same point.How long will it take for them to meet together for the first time at the starting point?

A bag of chocolates contains 15 pieces;a bag of jelly candies contains 20 pieces; a bag of milk candies contains 24 pieces.Mrs. Wong wants to buy some bags of these three kinds of candies so that she can get the same number of different candies. What is the least number of bags of each kind of candies she has to buy ?

Firstly for question 1,
The greatest possible length of a side of the tile is,
√180x126
＝√22680
＝150.5988
~150cm
∴The greatest possible length of a side of the tile is 150cm

Question 2,
(Find the HCF of 6,8,12)
=24
∴It takes 24 minutes for them to meet together for the first time at the starting point.

Question3,
(find HCF)
=240
∴it needs 240 piece of candies
∵It needs 240÷15=16 packs of chocolates,
240÷20=12 bags a bag of jelly candies
240÷24=10 bags of milk candies
