I used the little arrows to maximize my computer screen and can't fix it!?

I accidentally maximized my screen because a couple of words were hidden were hidden on the right-hand side of my screen and now I can't get it back to where it was. The little arrows won't do anything because the screen is too big I think. So could someone help me get it back the way it was? I am a newbie and rather unsophisticated, no, completely unsophisticated regarding computers. Help please?
