任何一方取消聯名戶口

If the account is signed any of you alone, then you can cancel the account. If the account is signed both of you, then you and your mother have to cancel it at the same time.

Better you call your bank and bank stafff can tell you all the details. Bank's telephone number can obtained by calling 1083 for chinese or 1081 for English.
