Assume that complete decomposition has taken place, calculate the moralityof the hydrogen peroxide solution. ANS:0.40M b)Acidified potassium permanganate solution oxidizes oxalic (ethanedioic) acid to carbon carbon dioxide and water.2MnO4-(aq) + 5H2C2O4(aq)+6H+(aq)à 2Mn2+(aq)+10CO2(g)+8H2O(l) 25cm3 of . 20 M oxalic acid solution required 20 cm3 ofacidified potassium permanganate solution for complete reaction. Find the morality ofthe potassium permanganate solution. ANS: 0.10M

1) No. of moles of oxygen produced = 0.48 / 24 = 0.02 mol
No. of moles of hydrogen peroxide required = 0.02 * 2 = 0.04 mol
Molarity of hydrogen peroxide = 0.04 / (100/1000) = 0.4M

2) No. of moles of oxalic acid used = 0.2 * 25/1000 = 5*10^-3 mol
No. of moles of acidified KMnO4 used = 5*10^-3 * 2/5 = 2*10^-3 mol
Molarity of acidified KMnO4 = 2*10^-3 / (20/1000) = 0.1M

under room temperature and pressure, the molar volume of all gases is 24 dm^3 / mol
and no. of moles (mol) = volume (in dm^3) / molar volume (24 dm^3 / mol)

我想問在計1a)的NO OF MOLE OF OXYGEN PRODUCED 時點解要以VOLUME OF OXYGEN除以24? 24個數又在哪裡得出來呢?
