Can someone give me some more example

2. If i answer" pretty much" to others question, do i mean yes , but not 100% certain
e.g. A: Do u love her?
B: yea, pretty much.

1. Yes, I would say it is more like "almost" than the others you mention. It's maybe 70-95%.
"My assignment is pretty much finished" is a good example. "My social life is pretty much non-existant." "My house is pretty much clean." As the other answerer said, it's a very casual expression.

2. I wouldn't say it means not 100% certain, more not entirely. If you're not 100% sure you can say "yea, pretty sure" but to love someone "pretty much" sounds really odd/not serious/a bit rude. Maybe if someone asked if you were excited about something, and you were mostly excited but also a bit worried, you could say "yeah pretty much".

3. Meaning is the same, usage depends on the specific sentence, sometimes one will sound best. Do you have any examples?

4. "really" "basically" "soon", I guess.

Yeah, it basically means "to some degree" its really ambiguous when used and one can never truly guage the degree or level of certaintly involved without asking. If someone said "yah, pretty much" to an important question...I'd be like "umm what do you mean by that?" Basically "pretty much" shouldn't be used but its used too much.
