What song to sing for Talent Quest?

I'm a girl in grade 9 and I'm gonna join the school Talent Quest/Audition. My range is between the second E before Middle C and the second A after Middle C. My voice can vibrate (I don't know how to call it ) when I sing lower notes but I can't do the same with the high notes.

I don't want to sing some songs which don't have positive message (no offense, but once my friend sing If I ain't got you, even though she sings the best, she lost) or fast , like I kissed a girl / Party in the USA. I want to have some modern song like Alicia Keys which can demonstrate my vocal ability.

I suggest 'Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkitt...it is an endearing song accompanied by a beautiful melody...A classic of its time.
