由於人類犯罪，就讓「罪」進入這個世界，世間也就出現死亡疾病煩惱，而上帝藉耶穌要讓世人與祂「和好」，重新建立「美好的關係」（這美好的關係原本被「罪」所破壞）。上帝造世人原意要我們與祂同在，並要受託去管理受造的世界，人原本是有權柄與榮耀，但因「罪」而失去，於是藉著耶穌基督而被挽回、過犯被赦免、重新恢復尊貴身份，將來與上帝一同管理新天新地，那是一個永恆福樂的新宇宙，公義和平永居其中，不再有痛苦、災難、死亡、老化與悲傷。
