What's your impression of China?

China is a powerful nation which has clear ambitions in the world. It has shown that as a nation it will happily work with it's own interests solely at heart.

It is also a split nation with many social problems, such as the lack of development in many western parts, it's aging poppulaton and the significant disproportion in it's gender ratio (too few women). Its government hold a heavy leash on their people and restrict freedoms heavily.

Finally it has growing environmental issues, such as pollution and the encroaching gobi desert.

Personally I like the Chinese people, and have never met a person who was unpleasant. However I do not trust their government and have concerns over their ambitions.

Comparing China to a global..set of principles..
I think you have a country that deals daily with corruption and gangs..
Communism is a necessity--it is not so political as its nationaly..positive..
Yes..they have under development..in many area's..
This is contrasted as always with wealth..
About weakness..?
There's really no way to know that..it may have allies we as American's don't realise..
Is China a threat--I would say..it is not a great threat..
Impression--mostly..I think China is having its best days.

China just needs to work on its Quality Control issues and their Pollution. Theyve come a long way but they still have alot to work on.

A huge expanse of land that's kind of separated from the rest of the world in a lot of ways, where people work really hard and don't have a lot of fun or freedom to pursue their dreams and doesn't get to see all the media that the rest of the world sees. The outlying areas are relatively poor, but the cities are really modern and nice. There's a lot of smog in the big cities. These are just impressions from what i've soaked up from the media and conversations. I'm not saying i think it's actually an accurate impression.

Have a lot of problems but a good place been there 3 times.

No offence to chineese ppl but it really annoys me that there r sooooo many asians in usa...don't they have their own country 2 live in its like they have taken over usa
