i believe the aim of this holiday assignment is to let your new english teacher know wt english level you are of cuz he/she is going to have many new students who are from different schools. The content of this essay doesnt really matter.
Firstly, i think you can write briefly about your background, i dont really mean your self introduction but some basic information, like your name, what primary school you went to and your favourite subjects (you will have more things to write if you say english is your favourite subject) you can write what you think about learning english like how do you find it? hard? or very easy?
Secondly, you can write about different aspects of your english lesson in your old school, for instance, grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure and tense. You can start the paragraph with 'In my old school, my english teacher used to give us quite a lot of proof-reading exercise. I quite like that because by finding out the errors, i can avoid many common mistakes and i learnt to proof-read my own essays.
As you dont really have to write much, i suggest you to write 2 aspects of your english lessons or you can actually write only one if you have your favourite one and you decide to write it in great details.
You have 2 totally different ways to end your essay, if you are like really good in english and you can be very confident to speak english, i suggest u to write something like i am full of expectations to my new school life. If not, you can write something like i would be pleased if you could offer me help because i am very weak in english.
