In the diagram, a mouse at point A runs due east along one side of the rectangle. At the same time, a cat at point A runs due south along another side of the rectangle. Finally, they meet at point C, where BC = 60cm. Given that the speed of the mouse is 11/14 times of that cat, find the perimeter of the rectangle in metre.

Since the speed of the mice is 11/14 of the speed of the cat,
so if they run together in a same period,
the distance run by the mice is 11/14 of distance run by the cat.

In this case, they run in a same period,
the difference of the distance run by the cat and the mice is 60.

The distance run by the cat is AB+BC,
the distance run by the mice is AB-BC.
Their difference=2BC=2*60=120

Let x be the distance run by the cat,
the distance run by the mice will be (11/14)x,
and their difference is 120.

x-(11/14)*x=120
(14x-11x)/14=120
3x=1680
x=560

So, the distance run by the cat is 280cm,
the distance run by the mice will be (11/14)*560=440.
The total distance run by the cat and the mice,
=perimeter of the rectangle=560+440=1000cm=10m.
