I am in Toronto apartment ( 2nd floor), I bought RCA ANT 121 ( not HDTV antenna) back a few years ago to hook up my current OLD OLD tv.

Since all TV station is switching to digital on 31 Aug, do i still have to buy a Digital to Anolog (DTA) converter box ?

thank you in advance

Yes you need a converter box (or something else like a new recorder or TV with an ATSC tuner built into it)

All TV antennas are "HDTV antennas", even an unfolded paper clip can be a "HDTV antenna" if the signals are strong enough.

As to whether the RCA ANT 121 is good enough for your location, you will just have to try it and find out. A lot of people in the US found they needed better antennas for digital reception.

Yes, you do.

Yeap since your television is a old analog television, then you would be required to get a digital converter box in order for your old television to continue to work. I would also recommend a strong indoor or outdoor HDTV antenna with your converter box.
