If this were me this is what I would try. First go to the link below. Download and install Drive Sweeper but do not run it. OK slight problem. The Drive Sweeper download is not available at Guru3D anymore. Which is where I usually direct folks. Found this link for Phyxion.net. They are the ones who issued this software. See the first link for a description and the second link to download the latest version. You will download the Installer one.

Next go to Nvidia Website again and get the latest drivers. Do not Run them. Save them. Remember where you saved them to in your computer.

Now go into Add/Remove Programs and uninstall all the Nvidia Video Driver Software. Kinda remember there being more then one. Restart each time if it asks. After you uninstall the last one restart if it asks. If not restart anyway and go into Safe Mode by tapping F8 on the restart. Just Highlight Safe Mode and hit Enter. While in Safe Mode open Drive Sweeper. Check Nvidia - Display and Nvidia - PhysX. Do not check Nvidia - Chipset by mistake. Click Analyze. Then click Clean. When done it will ask you to restart. Restart normally. Now install the Nvidia Drivers that you downloaded and saved earlier. Sometimes what happens is that everything gets confused. Hopefully by doing this you will be able to start fresh and not have any problems anymore. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
