You do a ctrl click.

if you are using a mouse: lift your index finger, and use your middle finger to only click on the right side of the mouse (if you are using a MagicMouse or a MightyMouse)

if you are using a trackpad on the Mac: using 2 fingers to click or tap the trackpad simultaneously

another way to do so: press control (crtl) and left click simultaneously

You put two fingers on the pad thing together and push it down together.
