如果用she ge 話，就應該用while she stays in the city.

以上兩位人兄錯左一樣野，就係stay 可以係動詞，也可以係名詞

如果係用her stay, lei 個stay 就會係一個名詞，解在城中ge時間

如果係用she, 好似我頭先甘講，while she stays in the city, lei 個stay
就會變左做動詞，講緊個女仔的動作


以上的case, 由於stay 係一個名詞，所以唔可以轉做past tense

如果係話she stays, 由於我之前用左while, 已經有一個過去ge意思，都唔洗用past tense

She came into contact with many important people during her stay in that city.- CORRECT


我不明白 為什麼 during 後 是用 her 而不是 she?- it is because during her stay is a phrase not a sentence.

during her stay in that city = while she stayed in that city

另外, stay 需要轉成過去式嗎?= stay is a noun in the captioned sentence. Only when it is a verb, then it needs to be changed into past tense . I have also expalinied when you need to change 'STAY' into past tense - see example shown above.
