Which one of Core i5 are you talking about?

First Gen of i5 (5xx/6xx) or Second Gen of i5 (i5-2x000 or i5-2x00K) ?

Becuase they are integrated with different GPU inside

i5-5xx/6xx----Name GMA HD, Support DirectX10
i5-2X00--------Name HDGraphic 2000 (Improve GMA HD), Support DX10.1
i5-2x00K-------Name HD Graphics 3000 (Executive Unit is double than HDG 2000), Support DX10.1

However, if u ask for performance on i5 vs GT440

I can tell u that , GT440 MUST faster than i5, although you u i5-2x00K for comparison.

HDGraphics 3000 Performance is near by NVIDIA GT210/220 or ATI Radeon HD5450..............
