rather than 的一些問題

疑問：在這可否也將rather than, instead of移到句中，改成如下句型？
He plays around all the time rather than work hard. (？)
=He plays around all the time instead of working hard. (？)

因為rather than是conjunction phrase（連接詞片語），表示選擇，前後文字的詞性和內容要相同並對稱。前一句宜加上would，表示意願：
He would play around all the time rather than work hard.在rather than前後的兩個不定詞片語做比較。
He plays around all the time instead of working hard.沒問題。（instead of 是prepositonal phrase介系詞片語，後面只會接名詞性質的字或片語）

問題二:
Rather than 連接兩個對等關係的主詞，如下:
He rather than I is wrong.

兩相鄰的名詞對稱，沒問題。

疑問：可以改成如下嗎？只是我直覺念起來比較順？
He is wrong rather than I. (？)

會有語病，因為相鄰的是不對稱的形容詞wrong和代名詞 I。後面的I如果改成形容詞right或correct才對稱。

He plays around all the time rather than working hard. ... ( O ) [把rather than當介係詞用]

He rather than I is wrong. (強調主詞)
He is wrong rather than I. (強調主詞補語)文法上正確，但語意表達模糊，不建議使用，可加逗點改成：He is wrong, rather than I (am).
