Well the Ipad is not considered a ipod, its a tablet. Its bigger and faster but you can do all the same stuff as the Itouch with the ipad.

Ipad is not only bigger, the designs and games is just much much better than ipod touch since the screen is big and clear.
I would reccomend you to buy an ipad but if you need to go out a lot of time and need a really good camera, then you should choose an ipod touch. Remember, only ipad 2 has camera and ipad 1 does not.
