1.Terry makes a ship model in a scale of 2cm:0.75m.If the length of the ship model is 45cm,find a actual lenght of the ship in m.
Actual length of the ship
= 45cm/2cm * 0.75m
= 16.875m

2. In a training programme, the ratio of the number of students getting a pass to that of getting a fail is9:4.If the number of students getting a pass is 15 more than that of getting a fail, find the niumber of students joining the training programme.
Number of students join the programme
= 15 / [(9-4)/(9+4)]
= 15 / (5/13)
= 39

3.Dorothy and Katy spend 4 hours and 6 hours th complete the same journey respectively.Find the ratio of the speed of Dorothy to that to Katy
Ratio of speed of Dorothy to that to Katy
= 1/4:1/6
= 6:4
= 3:2

4.The weight of Mr Chan is 65 kg with a pecentage error of 4%. The weight of Mr Lee is 70Kg with a percentage error of 6%.Is it possible that Mr chan is heavier Mr Lee?
Max. weight of Mr Chan = 65 * (1+4%) = 67.6kg
Min. weight of Mr Lee = 70 * (1-6%) = 65.8kg < 67.6kg
Hence, the answer is yes

5.3x^2-10x+8
= (x-2)(3x-4)
