They do have a vaccine for FIV, even if the effectiveness remains being debated. additionally, many cats, probable alongside with yours, already carry the corona virus even though it the two isn't in the mutated form that reasons FIV or the cat's immune device fought it off. regrettably, there is not any infallible attempt to be sure of the two cat's prestige. Your cat certainly could be up as much as now on vaccines before you even evaluate bringing in yet another cat, even from a preserve or breeder, yet exceptionally a stray. you will possibly desire to take the stray to the vet, and then quarantine it out of your different cat for a minimum of two weeks before you introduce them. it truly is commonly sufficient time for indicators of even if to take place. nevertheless, while you're very in touch and can merely concern all the time for years, it may no longer be a sturdy concept to undertake the cat, if merely on your guy or woman peace of ideas. yet communicate on your vet before you go with, and that way you may a minimum of make an informed determination and not one based merely on emotion.

If you plan on keeping the stray, I'd get it to the vet as soon as I could. They'll be able to perform the right tests and get it's shots up to date. It may be healthy, just a bit under weight from being outside. Until then, if you don't have any other pets, you could keep her in a carrier or kennel inside the house and give her plenty of food and water, even a bath if she'll let you.

If you feed and water it daily and some times along the way take it to the vet, I don't see why not(:. I think you should.(: But first you might wanna buy worm medicine and worm it just to be on the safe side.(:

this just happened to me a little over a week ago. I took her to the vet. She had fleas and ear mites but otherwise ok. she was a mess when she adopted us though; all dirty and gnarly tangled up fur. hungry as a bear too. followed one of my other cats home I guess.

There is likely minimal risk to you, but you still want to take the kitten to a vet for a health assessment, and proper vaccinations. If the kitten has been living on its own, it likely has worms which are trivial to treat. And being friendly, it may once have had a home.

Thank your for caring.

It might have ringworm or something else. I suggest you give it food and water frequently, especially if it looks pretty skinny. You can pet it and everything, but wash your hands. I hope you take it to the vet and get a good report back! :)

Get the little guy to a vet for a checkup and start his booster shots. A healthy looking kitten won't have any diseases they can pass to you.

Feed and water it, maybe keep some distance until a vet checks it out. Should be fine though :)
