Problems about the community of mmorpgs. (Please read)?

I'm a female and I've been playing WoW for YEARS.

My toon names always start with my first name, so a lot of people can tell I'm a girl. And when they figure that part out, they'll say that I am, in actuality, an obese guy in the basement of my Mother's house with no life. LOL I even was kicked from a guild because the GM was angry that I told him I'd never date him. I've also been accused of trying to "use" guy gamers to go through the game easily. Umm, what else... list goes on.

I really don't care, it is what it is. Sure the gaming world is mostly male dominant, but there are a good amount of us girl gamers that can rock any man when it comes to gaming, and either they can't handle that, or teasing is the strategy that they use for attention. Either way, I'm just playing to have fun with my real life friends or kill time-- moving pixels on a computer screen seldom get to me like that, and you shouldn't really care either.

If you've been playing MMORPG's, you shouldn't really be surprised at any of the stuff you run into.

Best way to shut someone up? There is an IGNORE feature on WoW. Use it. Problem solved.

and if they have the option to create a girl character, what's wrong with that?
:) they're probably just virgins nerds you only toy around with their GUY characters

why should you care. it's could be a strategy to mess with your mind so they can have an advantage. it's like trash talking. anything to throw you off your game.

ignore them. who cares if they think you're a gay guy.

if you want to prove to them that you're a girl (and i see no point), find an mmorpg that lets players speak to each other, or you can give them your psn/xbla gamertag and prove you're a girl by talking to them.
