in the figure ,O1 and O2 are the centre of 2 circles respectively.each circle passes throgh the centre of the other circle .APB is a straight line. TA and TB are tangents to the circle with centres O1 and O2 respectively.

(A) Show that the 2 circles have the same radius. (B) show that PO1QO2 is a rhombus. (C) find ∠ATB

(A) The radius of O1 is O1O2. On the other hand, the radius of O2 is O2O1

So, the 2 circles have the same radius.

(b) PO1 = O1Q = radius of O1

PO2 = O2Q = radius of O2

Since radius of O1 = radius of O2

The four sides of PO1QO2 is equal and thus it is a rhombus

(c) ∠O1PO2 = 60 => ∠APO1 = 60 => ∠TAB = 90 - 60 = 30

∠ATB = 180 - 30 - 30 = 120
