如果單獨是to be or not to be，是有將來存在或不存在的意思。

像to be a good student or not to be a good student這樣加上補語，才有未來要不要成為好學生的意思。因為be動詞的意思不是要做什麼事，而是成為一種狀況。

一般來說不定詞含有未來的意思。

to do or not to do才有將來要做，還是不要做的意思。
