Using the pressure law, P/T = constant
where P is the gas pressure
T is the temperature of the gas at absolute temperature scale.

Let Po be the initial pressure of the gas, the final pressure is thus 3Po
Po/(273+120) = 3(Po)/T
where T is the final temperature of the gas at absolute scale
solve for T gives T = 1179 K = (1179 - 273)'C = 906'C

By pressure law :
p1/T1 = p2/T2
p / (273+120) = 3p / T
1 / 393 = 3 / T
T = 1179 K
So the new temperature is 906 C.

Hope I can help you ^^

Remember , the unit of temperature applied in the formula is K instead of C. So all temperature information you get from the question must plus 273 if the is Celsius scale.^^
