cindy has some $1, $2 AND $5 coins. give that the number of $1 coin s is 3 times that of $5 coins, while that $2 coins is 5 less than that of$1 coins. if the total value of the coins is $32, how many $ 2 coin does cindy have?

Let no. of $5 coin = xso no. of $1 coin = 3x
no. of $2 coin = 3x - 5
Total value = 5x + 3x + 2(3x - 5) = 32
5x + 3x + 6x - 10 = 32
14x = 32 + 10 = 42
x = 3
So no. of $2 coin = 3(3) - 5 = 9 - 5 = 4.
